The Team Gets Shot!

We have lots of updates!

Our team is now complete with 6 students signed up to participate and 5 leaders - including the male chaperone we've been praying for.  God is blessing our trip already!

Even our kids are getting involved!

This past Sunday, two of our trip participants were able to get up in front of the congregation and talk about why they decided to go on this trip and we were able to talk about ways the congregation can partner with us.  We started selling stocks, kilometers, and sponsorships.  Due to the amazing generosity of our church members, we have already fundraised the cost of one of one and a half trips! Many of the stocks and kilometers were purchased by our students not attending the trip and even kids.  It is amazing to see the whole church come behind our project.

 We are also blessed to have parents who are doctors and nurses who have offered to help our team with first aid prep and vaccinations.  This Sunday it was a rather comical sight as our team came together between the services to be vaccinated in one of the Children's Ministry classrooms!  One by one the team lined up to get all kinds of vaccines ranging from Hepatitis A/B, Tetanus, Japanese Encephalitis, and Rabies. 

They were all troopers, though several of them were quite nervous about the shots.  I suppose we can say this is our first team-building experience as a group. 



We will have our first pre-trip meeting this Friday afternoon and we are so excited to talk with our team members about their ideas for the trip.  We'll have lots of opportunities to minister in Pedong ranging from work projects like painting to leading Bible Studies, giving testimonies, doing drama, leading worship, just loving on the kids and everything in between.  It will be great to be all together for the first time.

• Further Financial Provision
• Cohesiveness as a team
• Smoothness in booking airline tickets this week
• Inspiration and creativity in our planning meetings

Thanks for keeping up with us!  We're getting excited for the trip.  Only 32 days until we depart!
