Being prayed over and annointed |
Today as I (Whitney) stood in our commissioning service, I was overwhelmed as I looked out on the congregation who has supported us so completely in prayer, financially, and in many other tangible and intangible ways. I can only that hope that the people we will be serving will experience the same amount of servanthood from us that we have experienced from you!
As I said, we have gotten everything wrapped up - including some details that literally could not have happened without the grace and direct intervention from God. One of our participant's visas was caught up and it looked like she might not receive it. We spent lots of time at the visa application center trying to see what could be done. Through an amazing miracle, and many thanks to the prayers of at least 20 people I know of on two continents, the visa came through on Thursday. It was stressful, but we were reminded that God will take care of what we need - even in the details.
Worship Practice |
Our flight leaves tomorrow evening and if you're still with us, we invite prayers for everyone to remember their passports, Hong Kong ID cards, and for everything to go smoothly with check-in. We will land in India about 2:45am Hong Kong time on Easter Sunday and we'll spend the night in the airport hotel there. We will get our last night of sleep in a hotel style environment and our last hot shower for the week then we'll head out to our next stop late Sunday morning. From there we'll take chartered Jeeps up about 3 hours from the airport to the Children's Home. I know that we are all so excited to meet these sweet kids that we have been praying for and thinking of for these last couple of months.
I hope that we will be able to post periodically throughout the week, but it will depend on how our internet connectivity is!
Blessings,
India Mission Team
